The I.N.P.P. aims to participate in the development of activities related to professional diving, safety and intervention in the aquatic and hyperbaric medium by all useful actions.

Board of Directors
The institute is administered by a Board of Directors whose members come from different categories:
The honorary members: who represent, the state administrations: Labor, Transport, Research, Defense, Interior, Industry, Culture ...;
The honorary members: these are the personalities to which the general assembly will have appealed because of their competence or their authority;
active members, who in subcategories represent local authorities (Region, Department, City, Metropolis), employers and their union, and employees and their union.

The functions of Government Commissioner are exercised by the Prefect of the Provence Alpes Côte d'Azur Region.

Collaboration with different ministries

Geographic locations The Mediterranean and the Atlantic
The I.N.P.P has been installed since 1982 at the Pointe Rouge site in Marseille. In order to assert its national dimension and expand its capacity to train its divers close to the environmental conditions they encounter, INPP opened, in 2015, a site on the Atlantic seaboard, in Lorient, France. old submarine base. Funding
The resources of the Institute consist of own revenue related to its activity, grants or agreements with the European Union and with the State (various ministerial departments or other public bodies), with regions, departments and communes as well as any other possible contributions from professional or trade union organizations.
